Adapt automatically plans your revision timetable in seconds, but there are situations where it will not plan anything for a certain day. Check the below things one by one to change this:
Reason 1: There are no topics to plan! 😱
Go to the Subjects tab, and check the following:
- If there are no subjects in the subjects tab, find out how to add subjects here.
- If there are subjects already, you may not have selected any modules to add to your plan. Add them using these instructions.
- If there are subjects with modules added, check your confidence ratings. If all the topics in a plan are rated green (confident), Adapt doesn't recommend them for revision. To change this:
- Tap on a subject
- Are all the modules and topics rated green?
- To add topics or modules back into your plan, rate them as amber or red by tapping on the emoji on the left hand side of the module or topic name
Reason 2: You aren't studying on the day you're looking at
During setup you chose which days of the week the Adapt algorithm should plan for. Find out how to change this here.
Reason 3: The date you are looking for is too far in the future
The Adapt algorithm only plans a few weeks forward at a time. To change this, see here.
Reason 4: You've already completed study for this day
The Adapt algorithm only plans a certain amount per day. Once these are ticked off for the day it won't plan any more until the next study day! To increase the amount of things Adapt plans for your per day, check out changing that setting here.
Reason 5: The algorithm has stalled
The most common reason for the algorithm has stalled is because you're offline. The algorithm usually works fine when you're offline, but every so often needs to check in with our servers, so do check your internet connection.
After checking all the above, try:
- Updating your app to the latest version
- Logging out and back in
- Logging out, uninstalling the app, reinstalling the app, logging back in
